About this episode

Ho ho hold up — it’s a Show Me Something Christmas. Our present to you? A highlight reel of the TOP 5 most iconic moments, hot takes, and absolute chaos from this year’s podcast. Sophie’s on a heater (until she’s not) as the Fever grind through a Caitlin Clark injury stretch — and she gets real about the highs/lows of being a “next shooter up,” and why the league needs to stop being messy about the new wave of attention. Then the convo swerves into pure internet chaos: the WNBA flying-dildo saga (yes, multiple… yes, neon green… yes, someone actually got arrested), plus Sophie breaking down why it’s funny and dangerous — especially when you’ve already tripped over one at home. From there it’s classic Sophie & West: Summer House cast trip ideas (Ozarks??), Paige being out of the house, tunnel fits and bandanas featuring West’s dad, and a quick flex on West’s Good Morning America moment with Arby’s steak nuggets and the “Hot Girls Eat Arby’s” shirt going viral. They wrap with “Tell Me Something” listener calls — dating advice from Chile to Texas, for the fellas and the ladies, plus a surprisingly wholesome question about what’s actually been filling their cups lately (spoiler: parents, cold beer, and… an elite dessert run). Episode summary

I’d been on a little heater, then got humbled last night, but with Caitlin out I’ve stepped up and I’m shooting efficiently on a team full of shooters, and we all ride the season’s waves.

How’s her groin and the timeline, because if you’re chasing a playoff run, extra rest now feels smart with that Olympic year schedule.

It’s a weird injury that flares with certain moves, so we’re being careful and winning where we can to buy her time, and I wish people would chill with the clickbait and be kind about Caitlin because the noise gets old fast.

Why poke the person who’s lifting the league, since everyone benefits from the attention and the checks it brings.

I respect our stars, but acting like Caitlin isn’t the current face is wild, and yes, we even did that Iowa exhibition before the season and the buzz is real.

On our show side, a true cast trip would shake things up even though the whole premise is a vacation, and Summer House Ozarks would go crazy because even Jon Hamm said he’d watch.

A change of scenery resets the group, but is it weird without Paige at the house.

I miss our shared humor but we’re good, and I’m sending her a bandana we made that’s actually a pastel of my dad, which started during those big farm bonfire days and turned into a fun family moment.

The league might not love some of my takes, but most fans get it, and yes, the dildo saga was funny until it wasn’t because flying objects are a safety risk and nobody wants a viral face shot to be their legacy.

It’s dangerous and somehow there were even betting lines on the next color, and you could probably sneak one past metal detectors which makes it hard to stop.

There’ve been three, all green, one guy got arrested and banned a year, and my mom literally texted me to watch for airborne toys, so please be creative somewhere else and keep it safe if we want the W taken seriously.

Alright, project B time, spill it.

It’s a new off‑season league with real money, seven global markets across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, first‑class travel and top PTs, equity for early players, backed by big tech and not Saudi, and I first said no twice but realized it’s perfect for staying in shape, growing my brand in my prime, and still having time to explore cities between short stints.

That’s a balanced workload with serious perks.

Everything’s charter and five‑star, Kelsey Mitchell is in which I’m hyped about, I tried to recruit Caitlin but the W is still the platform and that spotlight matters.

We missed each other in New York because you did Good Morning America, how’d it go.

New York was quick but sweet, the GMA crew was lovely, I met Robin and Ginger, the segment got cut short but the ‘hot girls eat roast beef’ shirt blew up, and Arby’s invited me to their test kitchen which sounds ridiculously fun.

Onto Tell Me Something, Mateus from Chile wants advice on being 29 with a good job and no partner yet.

Don’t chase or settle, enjoy your life and travel because 29 is young and the right person shows up when you’re not gripping the wheel.

Date yourself and keep filling your own cup, your thirties can be your best years no matter how traditional your scene is.

I’m in college and a popular football player’s into me, but it feels like he talks to many girls, what should I do.

Make him do the work and don’t compete with anyone because there are plenty of options and you deserve someone who’s clear.

Pull back and see his true colors, there are solid guys out there and the right one won’t need chasing.

What’s filling my cup lately is sharing big moments with my parents because getting to give back to them feels incredible.

Recovery had me leaning into sweets hard, my body comp shifted, I gave myself a month of comfort and now I’m tightening up again because those desserts did lift my mood when I needed it.

Let’s end on a high note, clean it up and keep rolling, let’s go Fever, let’s get that sweep, woo.
