Episode summary

I’m at the stage where I just want to win, and I feel great—shot’s falling, head’s clear, and day one of training camp had that whoo energy.

Our roster has real juice now—Monique Billings brings power and boards, Maisha Heinz-Allen adds toughness inside, and rookie Raven Johnson is a flat-out dog on defense; Caitlin looks good and healthy, too.

Wait, you’re fully in Indy now?

Yeah, just moved, boxes everywhere, and I’m purging a ton—feels good to travel lighter.

There are a lot of wild narratives out there, but once timelines are clear, people will see what’s true.

The internet has been rough, and someone close to me caught strays; for the record, there was zero overlap—things got real in February when everyone was single, and I’ll own my part and apologize face-to-face at the reunion.

Have you checked in with the rest of the cast yet?

I’ve texted around and not everyone’s replied, which I get; the reunion is where I’ll clear the air and make amends.

Do you at least have your reunion fit locked?

Not even close—I spent the weekend doom-watching the Royals fall apart, and it’s brutal when a talented roster looks joyless.

It’s early, rhythm and chemistry can click late.

In MLB, picks one through six are a lottery; seven through eighteen go by record.

Baseball’s odd anyway—you can go from draft day to the minors for years before the show.

Did you need security when you were out?

Yeah, but Yankee Stadium is a blast—train to the Bronx, bars buzzing, meet friends, and it all just feels normal again, which helps my head.

Can I be nosy—given all the cap changes, did your deal beat expectations?

No, and I get why—coming off an ACL without live reps makes teams hesitant—but it lit a fire; I feel fully cleared, I’m honest about my body, and I’m locked on winning over ego.

How do the rookies fit, and what kind of voice do you want from them?

Be yourself, be a sponge, and double down on what you do best; camp surprised me in the best way—we’ll play fast, shoot it, defend, and everyone got through day one healthy.

Body check—how do you actually feel?

Game pace is different than runs, but at twenty-nine I honestly feel the best I ever have.

Quick media thing—when teams shut down personal questions, doesn’t it make it a bigger deal?

I’d answer and steer it back to hoops; we’re adults in a public job and can handle tough questions without feeding the drama.

Coachella looked insane—Biebs lives for those live moments.

The nostalgia hits when artists run old tracks and everyone time-travels; seeing Billie jump on was perfect.

I had to skip a Luke Combs beer-chug cameo for day one of camp and it crushed me, but duty calls.

I love when Morgan Wallen’s tunnel walk brings out local legends—Indy needs the Fever and friends on that stage.

Who’s scariest in the league right now?

Atlanta’s tougher with Angel, New York is massive and only got bigger, Dallas reloaded, Chicago added size and punch, Minnesota’s steady, Vegas is still Vegas, and the Toronto expansion is intriguing—overall, depth is real across the league.

Did you lose anyone you’ll miss?

Tosh to Minnesota stings, and I’ll miss Sid’s locker-room presence; culture players matter more than people realize, and the new CBA’s money shifts are forcing contenders to juggle cores while rebuilders spend to climb.

Headlines-wise, Euphoria’s new season is catching heat for being too spicy.

That show has always pushed the line, and Zendaya is phenomenal.

It’s not plane-safe TV, but the cast is stacked and that’s why people still care.

I got hooked on Running Point—it’s sports-adjacent chaos in a front office, funny and sharp.

Same—it nails the pressure, the politics, and proving you belong; season two drops April twenty-third and it’s an easy binge.

What else are you working on off-court?

I taped The Grand Try with Quest—shoutout to Karina for winning—and I shot Sports Illustrated in freezing ‘tropical storm’ weather; the team championed all body types, Lindsay came with, and yes, they used hand warmers on my shoulders and, hilariously, my butt cheeks.

I can’t stop craving cheeseburgers.

I’m on a dumplings kick, and I love next-day cold noodles and pizza—don’t judge.
