Episode summary

How we doing, my people. Three and Out is officially on Netflix now, so hit subscribe for the video feed, and even with baby week on deck and a fluid few days, the pods keep coming.

Let’s start with Nick Sirianni. If he were cut loose tomorrow, no one’s handing him a head job, and he’s not getting play-calling duties anywhere either.

McDaniel and Stefanski would have lines out the door to run offenses if they were free; Sirianni hit the jackpot with Howie, an owner who spends, and top-shelf support, but he brings almost nothing on game day.

San Francisco rolled in patched together and still out-executed Philly. Two Purdy giveaways turned into three points, the second-half offense is a weekly slog, and premium weapons feel underused.

Jalen Hurts is a dual threat who’s playing like a statue. Use the legs like Allen, Lamar, and even Purdy do when it’s time to steal first downs.

That building doesn’t stomach humiliation, and AJ Brown didn’t look bought in. Trading him midseason would’ve been painful but cleaner than carrying this into January.

If Shanahan hit the street, almost the entire league would call; that’s the gap. If Philly moves, you could justify a full reset with a proven CEO coach and let Fangio’s defense ride while you import a real offensive brain.

The Niners’ edge is feel and toughness. Perfectly timed wrinkles like the Jauan Jennings throw, situational awareness, and a quarterback who does whatever the series requires.

I’ve defended Justin Herbert, but he was off. Drake May outplayed him, he’s now winless in the postseason, the rookie back lacks burst, and until he gets a playoff win, that cloud sticks.

Josh Allen just authored a wrecking-ball performance against Jacksonville. He did everything while Trevor Lawrence and a pass-happy script left yards on the table that Etienne should’ve eaten.

Looking ahead, I like Houston over Pittsburgh. That defense can squeeze them, and if it goes sideways, the Tomlin noise is only getting louder.

Coaching is a knife fight now. Owners eat contracts like snacks, only a few guys are truly safe, and getting paid to not work beats most retirement plans—props to Raheem for choosing TV.

Matt Ryan taking over the Falcons’ football operation is fascinating. He walked away from a cushy studio seat to chase the grind, he’s wired for it, and with his network he could build a legit front office—LaFleur ties included.

Buckle up for a weird week. Football’s about to get spicy, and as long as baby timing cooperates, I’ll be right here with you—see you soon.
