Sharp or Square - SHARP NFL WEEK 16 BETS: Bills-Browns, Chargers-Cowboys, Bucs-Panthers, 49ers-Colts, Patriots-Ravens and more

Welcome to Sharper Square, the show that makes the squares sharper and gets the wise guys listening; I’m Chad Nolan with my partner in crime, professional bettor Simon Hunter. I’m back from a Vegas blur where the days melted together, and the quarterback news is already moving markets.

I got clipped by pros early this week and hesitated on a few openers that flew; lesson learned. Let’s lock in sharper numbers now that injuries and moves are clearer.

Quick contest note: the season-long leaderboard is fixed and live, and a few of you are still perfect. Now, Rams–Seahawks: the line flipped to Seattle as a small favorite, and Puka stirring up side drama isn’t helping optics.

The chatter around Puka is noise; travel hiccups are real but not the reason for the move. I still lean Rams—McVay owns late-season spots, short-week history favors them, and Seattle’s home edge hasn’t been special for years, though I might keep it out of the contest.

You’ve had the Rams rated higher than anyone, and Seattle just skated by a backup; I get why you’d buy low on L.A.

McVay’s December track record is outrageous and the Seahawks have struggled in this exact short-week, division home setup. I’ll likely ride with the Rams, but I know I’m biased.

Washington at Philadelphia is our Brass Balls Bet of the Week at plus six and a half. Key absences for the Eagles matter, the Commanders have steadied with Mariota, and I don’t want to chase a blowout bounce when the number looks inflated.

My model makes it closer to four, the public is piled on Philly, and the books are resisting seven—clear pro interest on Washington. Hurts trends toward late-season ATS fades, Dan Quinn thrives as a dog, and I’ll play Washington even if it ticks to seven.

Chiefs–Titans: no Mahomes, a battered line, and wideout uncertainty dragged this to three and a half and even three. Tennessee is ugly, but I kind of want a little moneyline taste.

I’m sitting out the side unless we had the early four and a half; the under still makes sense with both offenses limited. I just don’t want to live through a Titans sweat again.

Giants plus three versus Minnesota is our Simon Says. We’re fading a rookie heater that came against soft defenses, and this is a bad spot for that team on the road.

Teams off a Dallas game have crashed ATS next week, dome squads often sag outdoors late in the year, and the Giants’ front can hurry a young quarterback. Tickets lean Vikings, money leans Giants—classic pros versus Joes, and I’ll still like it at two and a half in the contest.

Small detour: I’m heartbroken by all this dome talk; part of Chicago’s soul is cold-weather ball, not a climate-controlled transplant across the border.

I’m with you—tradition matters, but the money chase steamrolls everything these days.

On the Jets, I can’t even right now.

I’m still in on the kid; two divisional wins breathed life into a dead season, and the hype is finally catching up.

Bills at Browns used to be an automatic home dog for us, but Cleveland’s offense is so banged up that Buffalo might just lean on the run and pull away.

Josh Allen has a weird superpower against stingy defenses, and the Bills’ ground game in the red area matches a Cleveland weakness; it sets up like a lopsided road win.

Jaguars plus three at Denver: the Broncos’ luck meter is pinned, while Jacksonville’s offense looks balanced, and I love the altitude test for a team that can run.

Jacksonville stops the run, Trevor typically holds form after big wins, and late-season teams off a massive scoring output tend to keep covering. I want the contest three and a half before pros shave it.

Raiders plus fourteen and a half at Houston is the pure buy-low, sell-high of the week off a shutout.

Teams off a bagel have cashed all year, and long win streak big favorites struggle in this spot; I hate trusting Vegas, but the number demands it.

Patriots versus Ravens: market is nudging toward New England, and I like the bounce-back angle with an inflated tag on Baltimore after a feel-good win.

Lamar’s December aura is real, yet his night games have dipped this season; I’m betting the coaching bounce and a more complete roster catching a field goal, so grab the three before it’s two and a half.

Chargers at Cowboys moved off the opener; I leaned Bolts early, but I’m rethinking it.

Dak on a homestand has been money, pros came in on Dallas, and the Chargers are ripe for a letdown after emotional wins; I prefer a Cowboys moneyline style position.

Arizona at Atlanta sits at two and a half; I’d rather sprinkle the Cards outright than sweat the hook, but I’m not forcing it.

I grabbed three when it popped, but the Falcons’ post-win profile is the only real angle; I’m fine passing for contest.

One more I like that we skipped: Panthers at Bucs. Carolina has covered every time off a loss, Tampa keeps failing to cover, and I’ll happily take three and a half even if some pros are betting averages instead of matchups.

Baker gets bodies back but still looks off; Bryce thrives in late-game chaos. I liked Carolina Tuesday but the pro money spooked me a bit.

And Lions–Steelers: I flipped to Detroit despite the number. Campbell and Goff are fantastic off a loss, that offense still hums, and I don’t think Pittsburgh can keep pace indoors; I’m adding it to our list.

My bigger early positions are Washington and the Bears, plus Patriots and Giants at three; I’m warming to Buffalo but keeping it lighter than last week overall.

Moneyline dog sprinkle for the adventurous: Titans, Arizona, Giants, New England, and the Jags; favorites mix with Saints, Lions, Bengals, an adjusted Bears entry, and Dallas. Sharp versus Square for me is going super square with Bills minus ten, and Brass Balls was Washington.
