Seattle minus seven and a half at Carolina was your Simon Says; did it play out exactly how you saw it?

Yeah, their defense and run game traveled, Bryce Young was shaky, Sam Darnold was worse, and even with injuries the Seahawks kept handing their offense short fields until it broke open.

Early sequences were wild, a third and thirty-one, then a long draw conversion, then a gift pick in the red zone that flipped to a quick touchdown; I’m already eyeing the San Francisco number that’s slipping toward a field goal.

New Orleans at Tennessee: Tyler Shuck turned a near disaster into a rookie-of-the-year drive, while our Titans position unraveled late; how mad are you at me right now?

You had one job: don’t let us play Tennessee, and we did; Shuck was fearless and efficient, Cam Ward gave us the full roller coaster, and I swapped to the Colts in my main contest because I just couldn’t live with the Titans again.

I fully admit Shuck scared me on every dropback, and that knee-down ruling on the fourth-and-ten magic play was the dagger.

Pittsburgh at Cleveland was our divisional dog call; the Browns bolted out 10 to 0, Shadour looked sharp until a bad pick flipped momentum, and they still had to win it on defense late.

Aaron Rodgers looked like he wanted no part of Myles Garrett, living on checkdowns while the Steelers ran well but somehow scored only six; Browns-Steelers is voodoo we play yearly, and the Cleveland defense delivered while Sanders showed both promise and rookie chaos.

That off-balance interception with the Browns D in total control made even Dion bury his face, and yet the defense bailed him out again to close it.

It was exactly the script we needed: make them throw on third and medium and trust the Browns to get off the field.

Bills at Eagles was a gut punch; I grabbed Bills money line live at plus 330, and that two-point try going the other way crushed the middle while turnovers dictated everything more than any single highlight.

Hurts lit it up for one quarter, then drifted, Fangio baited a banged-up Josh Allen into a grind, and even though I hit some live spots I can’t blame the Bills for going for two in that weather despite it killing our spread.

The Eagles played super conservative after halftime and put it on the defense to steal one more stand, which makes me more patient than panicked.

They shouldn’t turtle, because the offense hasn’t earned that cushion, the line’s been leaky, and they need rhythm more than rest before the playoffs.

Live listener Alison Norris asked about the NFC South; Panthers losing was expected, but the Bucs did their thing again—jump ahead, then cough it all back.

I’m rooting for the glorious mess where Carolina sneaks in with a tie, I’ll back the Panthers again this week, and I’ll be thrilled to fade them hard come wildcard weekend.

Bowles might be in trouble even if they limp in; also, thank goodness we swerved the Raiders as that whole scene looked ugly in a hurry.

The Giants competed, the Raiders were a mess, and if Vegas drafts a quarterback they need a real QB developer, even though I can’t stop raving about what Brian Flores has done for that Vikings defense.

Jets-Patriots was a trap we avoided, and Drake May still roasted them with five touchdowns, crossed 4,000 yards, clinched the AFC East, and somehow downplayed his own company afterward.

He barely missed all day, the efficiency was bonkers, and if Stafford stumbles he’s live for MVP because voters love the quarterback on a top seed.

Colts-Jags steamed from six and a half down to near three and a half and still landed on six; credit to Trevor Lawrence and Liam Cone for steadying after a brutal end-zone pick and closing it late.

Professionals were right on the move, that Indy trend against Jacksonville is real, Rivers was a fun throwback but limited, and the Jags solved it by choking off Jonathan Taylor while Trevor’s legs changed the math.

Shame goes to Baker and the Bucs offense for spraying throws and smothering their own stars against a defense that dared them to beat man coverage.

Shame on the Titans defense for turning a first-half clinic into a fourth-quarter turnstile and letting two lightning drives flip the whole game.

Hero is Derek Henry, who reminded everyone he gets stronger late with 216 and four while climbing historic lists and calling for fourth-quarter touches.

Hero is Brian Flores for a ruthless Vikings plan that made a juggernaut offense look ordinary while protecting a backup under center.

I’m with you on Carolina before it drops, and Pittsburgh is a classic Tomlin dog even if the model screams Ravens.
