And today we wrap up our two-part episode on win totals looking at the other 22 teams across the National Football League. In this episode, our hosting duo discusses the Minnesota Vikings with new quarterback Kyler Murray, and the new-look Pittsburgh Steelers with new coach Mike McCarthy and new acquisitions Rico Dowdle, Michael Pittman Jr., and more. We also dive into the Maxx Crosby trade debacle between the Las Vegas Raiders and Baltimore Ravens, which saw the latter sign free agent pass rusher Trey Hendrickson instead. Episode summary

Welcome to Sharper Square, part of The Volume—this is the show that turns casual bettors into sharper ones. We’re back with part two of NFL win totals, rolling through every team below the top tier and weighing how this month’s wild moves might shift our numbers—so, Simon, which move actually made you want to bet?

Minnesota swinging for Kyler is pure upside with the best coach he’s had and a clear prove-it year mindset. Baltimore walking back the Max Crosby trade after the physical was smart roster hygiene, and pivoting to Trey Hendrickson fits their timeline; the Crosby saga itself was the most shocking wrinkle of the offseason.

I love how the Ravens handled it—Crosby would’ve been a two-to-three‑year window, while Hendrickson still gives them juice without the risk. Back to Minnesota: if the QB whisperer effect hits again, that eight and a half is interesting, especially with plus money creeping in.

I like the Vikings over at plus odds while it lasts; Kyler in a contract-type year is the version you want to back, and I expect that price to flip to the minus side closer to kickoff.

NFC North is suddenly spicy—Love, Kyler, Caleb, and Goff—while Detroit’s line issues push me toward an under lean. Rapid-fire at the bottom: Arizona four and a half under, Miami four and a half under, Raiders five and a half under, Jets five and a half alt under if the market lets me.

I’m with you on most of those; the Raiders at least look like they’ll try, while some of these others feel content to chase the top of the draft. The Jets are so messy they could stumble to a few wins by accident, but I still see a very low ceiling.

Carolina six and a half: I took the over early and still think the division alone can float them.

Tread lightly—first-place schedule and a number that screams trap; your early number was fine, but I wouldn’t make it a big position.

Cleveland and Tennessee both at six and a half feel rich, and I don’t buy a Deshaun leap back to peak form.

I only liked Cleveland as a longshot price, not a conviction; at six and a half in that division, the under is safer. Tennessee might get a new-coach bump, but there are too many holes to love anything yet.

Quick hits: Atlanta seven and a half over lean; New Orleans seven and a half fascinates me because they can evaluate Shough without mortgaging the future.

Atlanta has real upside but I’m not tying up money in March; New Orleans is high variance—I’d rather play alt ladders both ways than the flat number, which feels high.

Giants seven and a half looks like pure Harbaugh bounce, and the roster still has big questions at QB durability, receiver health, and the front.

That’s one of my favorite unders—QB style invites hits, the division’s a gauntlet, and I’d have hung five and a half, not seven and a half.

Washington seven and a half is an over lean for me with Daniels set for a full year and a defense that should at least climb to average.

I lean under—tough division and I still question the line and whether their moves meaningfully shifted the floor.

Dallas eight and a half over: I trust the offense to hum, and if the defensive tweaks land, they can clear it in a soft pocket of the schedule.

Pros hit that over already; offense is fine with elite receiver play, but it comes down to Dak’s health and whether the defense actually got fixed—if it climbs to nine and a half, I’d rather fade there.

Receiver nitpick while we’re here: I’d take CeeDee over Chase on effort and consistency, but we’re splitting hairs among stars.

Colts eight and a half under—QB recovery timeline and mobility concerns make that opener way too high for me.

Same—if he’s slow to return, this crashes toward seven by September; the number never should’ve opened that high.

Pittsburgh eight and a half under: culture is in flux, the defense is aging, and the secondary still isn’t solved.

I lean under; the old Tomlin nine-win auto-vibe is gone, and the books hanging plus money to the over tells you they’re testing conviction.

Tampa eight and a half is a pass with a slight under lean; the division is soft, but they were two different teams last year and I don’t know which version shows up.

Exactly—if Baker was hurt and gets right, they can hit ten; if not, they drift. I’ll pass, lean under.

Bears nine and a half—my heart says over, my head says regression. Bengals nine and a half feels bloated on Burrow optimism.

Bears probably regress after a season of coin-flip escapes, but they’re hard to fade. Bengals under is a bet—health, sack profile, and year-to-year slippage have all been real; honestly the whole AFC North could skew under outside a single team spiking.

Denver nine and a half over for me—defense is legit, Waddle adds speed, Bo Nix should steady, and Sean Payton can squeeze wins while the division sorts itself out.

That’s one of my bigger overs: strong lines, a real WR duo, and a cheap QB window to build around; they still need a back, but I see an eleven or twelve-win path if Nix holds serve.

Rapid fire: Texans nine and a half over, Jags nine and a half under, Patriots nine and a half under.

I’m the opposite across the board for now—Texans are priced high, Jags have a coach‑QB combo I trust despite a tougher slate, and the Patriots might have a division setup that pads wins; if any push to ten and a half, I’ll look for unders.

Where we aligned: Colts under, Giants under, Denver over, and Cincinnati under. That’s our card for now—next week we’ll hit MLB Opening Day and keep riding March. Watch on YouTube, rate and review on your favorite app, five stars, feedback is a gift. We love you.
