Episode summary

Las Vegas delivered. UFC 326 just wrapped, the spotlight was on the BMF belt, and for the record, Liverpool’s rough season still puts a smile on my face.

What happened in Holloway versus Oliveira? Oliveira marched forward, clinched, chained takedowns, and controlled from the top for almost the entire fight. Max barely stood until the closing seconds, when they traded and both landed, but start to finish it was Oliveira’s night.

Does that fit what people want from a BMF fight? Many expect a wild brawl, like Diaz versus Masvidal or Poirier versus Gaethje. Michael Chandler even pitched a striking‑only, stand‑and‑bang idea. I am with Joe and John that BMF can also honor elite winners on a title path. Either way, Oliveira chose the smartest route and earned it.

What did the result tell us? It highlighted Oliveira’s resurgence, stopped in this building less than a year ago and now the BMF champ. It also makes Ilia Topuria’s earlier win over him look even bigger. For Max, offense was scarce, but his submission defense from his back for most of the fight was outstanding. He will be back.

What else stood out on the card? Caio Borralho dug deep to beat Reinier de Ridder. Raul Rosas Jr outwrestled Rob Font for a decision. Drew Dober knocked out Michael Johnson. Gregory Rodrigues avenged Bruno Ferreira with a single right hand, my performance of the night. Cody Garbrandt won a chaotic fight with two points taken from his opponent and will likely wish he opened up more, but the win matters. Dante Johnson beat Cody Brundage and banked valuable reps. Alberto Montez submitted Ricky Turcios with the exact move he promised, and his story inspires. Sumudaerji, Nergazai, and R. Albano also picked up wins.

Any final notes? I appeared on CBS today, and for a kid from Lafayette who grew up on broadcast channels, that hits home. Thank you for the support, Vegas always brings it. I will drop a breakdown on whether Alex Pereira can chase a third division, plus a new Daniel Cormier Show and my usual chat with the winning coach. Hit subscribe, share it, and enjoy the behind‑the‑scenes as they strike the set and fans step into the Octagon. Until next time, peace.
