Episode summary

Welcome in to FantasyPros on day four of free agency, where a headline quarterback might be headed north and we’ve got running back movement to unpack. Kyler Murray met with Minnesota and is lining up virtual chats elsewhere, so if he signs a short prove‑it deal in Kevin O’Connell’s system with Justin Jefferson, how good could that be?

It’s about as clean a fit as he’ll find. O’Connell’s helped polished vets thrive, McCarthy never got the reps for that effect to hit, and Murray would step into a dome with Jefferson, Addison, Hockenson, and a healthy line; durability is the only real concern, and his main task is simple—feed 18.

If it’s not the AFC North mud bath, who else makes sense—Jets maybe, and what about the Rams, where the contract might need to run longer if Stafford retires?

I can’t see him choosing Cleveland or Pittsburgh. The Rams feel win‑now, and even a one‑year insurance plan behind Stafford could let Murray showcase and cash in next spring.

Rashad White to Washington feels like an upgrade over Brian Robinson; does that stop them from taking Jeremiah Love at seven?

No—this looks like a one‑year stabilizer because that room was thin after Chris Rodriguez left. If Love is there, they can still swing big; if not, White handles a lot of passing‑down work right away.

If they skip Love, how would you stack Jacory Croskey‑Merritt versus White? I’d lean White.

Same—White’s receiving chops and trust with Jayden Daniels matter, and he quietly graded well in rushing success last year. History says he still shares, so think strong 1A rather than a total takeover.

What are the Seahawks doing at running back now—are they basically telling us they’ll draft one early?

That’s the read. With Charbonnet rehabbing and George Holani the other name, a rookie there would walk into volume and might jump to the RB2 spot in this class.

Chris Rodriguez to Jacksonville for two years and ten million makes me think it’s wheels up for Bayshell Tuten while Rodriguez soaks early downs—on board?

Mostly—Liam Cohen knows Rodriguez from Kentucky and he’s efficient, but those are lower‑value carries. Tuten already handled goal‑line work and LaQuint Allen owns passing downs, so just mind Tuten’s cost if the receptions stay light.

Quick hits: Keaton Mitchell joins the Chargers behind Hampton, and Sean Tucker is back in Tampa Bay—how does that affect Bucky Irving?

A three‑man mix with Gainwell and Tucker, plus Bowles’s goal‑line tinkering, caps Irving closer to a high‑end RB2 than a locked RB1. He’s explosive and healthier now, but efficiency has to carry him.

The Saints’ play caller was coy on Alvin Kamara’s future, which feels like a pivot coming, and the Browns moved on from David Njoku and Jack Conklin—any landing fits?

Njoku makes sense for the Eagles if Goedert moves, the Bucs are plausible, and I’d love him in New England to add yards‑after‑catch with Hunter Henry on an expiring deal; line him up in the slot and give Drake May some layups.

Conklin will get looks if he’s healthy, and we’ll keep you plugged in all day with our free agency tracker at FantasyPros dot com slash tracker. That’s a wrap for now—football serves fantasy, and we’ll be back tomorrow with more; for Erickson, I’m Joey P, see you next time.
