Welcome in to Fantasy Pros, the Fantasy Football Podcast with me, Joey P. We’re jumping into early 2026 wide receiver ranks, setting the table at the top with Puka, Chase, and JSN, then digging into where the consensus and our crew disagree.

Andrew, kick us off with Chris Olave—why are you under consensus on a guy coming off a big year?

I’m tempering it because last season leaned on perfect health and a big touchdown jump, plus a late surge when a teammate was out. I like the talent, but with Tyler Shuck still unproven and TDs likely regressing, I slot him a bit lower while acknowledging he smashed with Shuck in the back half.

I’m in the middle on Olave—closer to a 1A than a rock‑solid WR1 for me, and the concussion history lingers—so let’s pivot to Malik Nabers; Jake, are we too eager on a post‑ACL return?

There’s real timeline smoke after the delayed surgery, so even if he’s active in Week One, we might wait a month for full burst. I’ve got him around the fringe WR1/2 until we know he’s truly ready, and I prefer safer options with fewer early‑season questions.

Justin Jefferson sits at eight in ECR; Andrew, you pushed him down—what’s the concern?

It’s all quarterback‑dependent; he was QB‑proof until last season, when the yardage stayed but touchdowns vanished. With clarity under center he’s a WR1, but without it I’m a touch cautious.

Jake, where’d you land on JJ?

I’m just outside the top 10 because the QB carousel has more openings than answers. Give him even a competent arm and he climbs a few spots, but I’m not putting him back in that elite tier yet.

That next tier is loaded with question marks; Jake, what’s driving the volatility and who stands out?

WR2s got swingy thanks to shaky QB play, a wave of coaching changes, and deeper WR3 rooms siphoning targets. I still like DeVonta Smith, but prefer him as a WR3 for the weekly ride, and I’m lower on Luther Burden unless Chicago clears targets because volume looks tight with that roster build.

Andrew, give us a fade and a flag plant from that zone.

I’m out ahead on a Davante Adams dip: age, soft‑tissue risk, a red‑zone‑driven TD spike, and Stafford’s health all scream regression, so he’s outside my top 24. On the flip side, I’m in on Zay Flowers—new OC Declan Doyle wants pace and explosives, Lamar can support a spike year, and Zay’s usage and efficiency say he’s ready to pop.

Down the board, Andrew, you’re higher on Emeka Egbuka—why?

Rare rookie‑year target volume matters, and he looked like OROY material before the QB got banged up; if Mike Evans moves on, the path to a bounce‑back is clear.

Jake, you’re harsher than ECR on Brian Thomas Jr.; what changed?

The role shifted into low‑percentage, deep shots while Parker Washington became the quick read and Jacobi Myers vacuumed volume, so targets and catch rate sank. I love the player, but with this usage I’m treating him as a fringe WR3/4.

Andrew, stack up Rome Odunze versus Burden for Chicago.

Odunze’s catch rate was rough, and unless DJ Moore is moved I expect Burden to see more looks, so I rank Burden ahead for now.

Jake, make the case for buying Marvin Harrison Jr. after the letdown.

Late in the year—healthy and with Jacoby Brissett—he looked like the top option again, and he still earned volume over Michael Wilson. The dip went too far, so I’m back in on the upside.

Let’s hit a few movers in the 37 to 48 range; Jake, you rocketed Wan’Dale Robinson.

I expect someone to pay him as a top‑two target, and his short‑area and intermediate game deliver more than people credit, so I’m projecting a steady WR3 floor with upside.

Wan’Dale’s quietly handled heavy targets over two seasons, which tracks with that projection, but I’m far less confident in Quentin Johnston—he’s boom‑bust deep usage, best for best ball unless the room stays thin.

Jake, talk Ricky Pearsall’s jump.

When healthy he produced, and in this Shanahan build—likely light at WR and with Kittle a health risk—he can work all levels and operate as the de facto WR1 until reinforcements arrive.

Quick hits to close: Jake on Deebo, then Andrew on Josh Downs and Brandon Aiyuk, and one sleeper from Jake.

Deebo’s not vintage, but in the right spot as a top‑two target he can rebound, so I’m a bit above ECR.

Josh Downs separates and commands targets at a strong rate, and with Colts turnover coming he’s a sneaky riser. I’ve also nudged Aiyuk up assuming a fresh start—Washington with Jayden Daniels would be a clean 1B fit next to McLaurin.

Chimere Dike is my sleeper if Tennessee doesn’t land Wan’Dale; he can fill that high‑percentage volume role under Daboll and ride Cam Ward’s growth, but he fades if Robinson signs there.
