This window between the combine and free agency is sneaky good for trades. Check who’s secure, who’s at risk, and make quiet buys and sells before depth charts harden.

You opened spicy, Pat: why buy Kenneth Walker when the price is sky high?

It’s a buy high because I expect a better role than last year’s goal-line timeshare; when Zack Charbonnet tore his ACL in the playoffs, Walker went off, and that ceiling is real. If he leaves Seattle, he likely gets more work; if he stays, he’s the early-season workhorse while Charbonnet rehabs, so his value can still climb.

What’s the move to land him?

I’d deal Marvin Harrison Jr. straight up, given the Cardinals’ passing volume could dip if they go mobile at quarterback, and I’d swap Zay Flowers plus a small sweetener if needed.

Scott, your running back buy?

Chase Brown is underpriced for his workload and production; he was top ten in touches and PPR points last year on an offense that must keep scoring. In non-superflex, I’d move any rookie pick outside the top four or five for him, and I’d rather have him than an early second in 2026.

It’s close for me; elite rookie wideouts like Tate, Lemon, or Tyson might edge him, but Brown’s value is in that range.

Pat, make the case for a wideout buy who started hot then faded: Emeka Egbuka.

If Mike Evans walks, Egbuka can seize the WR1 role in Tampa after a hamstring slowed his midseason; I expect a bounce back to his early-year form. I’d trade James Cook or, in superflex, Bo Nix, and I’d move any rookie pick outside 101 or 102—maybe even 102 if I need a receiver more.

I’m all in; I have Egbuka as a back-end WR1 in dynasty and would only take the top rookie quarterback prospect over him.

Scott, buzz says Alec Pierce could move; buy window?

He’s treated like a WR4 but plays like a volatile WR3 with red-zone and deep-ball juice; the boom weeks are worth it at his current price. He’s not target-heavy for PPR, yet he’s shown he can produce with multiple quarterbacks, so I’d buy the discount.

Would landing with Tennessee cool you?

Not really; Cam Ward’s tendency to hold the ball actually sets up Pierce’s vertical game, and Pittsburgh would worry me more given fit and philosophy.

Pat, you like paying up for Justin Herbert; why now?

Established quarterbacks are hard to buy, but Herbert’s still elite by efficiency, gets his tackles back, adds young receivers, and his team has serious cap room to fix the interior line. I’d move CeeDee Lamb if I need a quarterback, and in superflex I’d trade Trey McBride; this sets up as a bounce-back.

I’d even package a late first this year with a 2027 first to win now with Herbert.

In superflex, quarterback is king; I’d send a 2027 first even with the risk it lands early.

Scott, your quarterback buy is Malik Willis; what’s the angle?

He flashed a top-three weekly finish when he finally played a full game, and his rushing gives him league-winning upside if he lands with weapons like in Arizona or another QB-needy team. I wouldn’t pay a 2027 first yet, but in superflex I’d prefer him over most of this rookie class outside the very top.

He’s the trendy target, so don’t overpay with all the unknowns.

Fair, but I’m interested in whoever wins the Cardinals job, and I’m bullish on Willis if his coordinator lets him run.

Sell time—Scott, why move Josh Jacobs now?

He’s been rock solid, but age and heavy mileage suggest this could be the last big return window, especially with a thin incoming RB class propping up his price. Target a contender and get younger with picks or ascending players.

Pat, a lower-profile RB sell?

I’d shop Jacory Croskey-Merritt before Washington adds a veteran back, since he was already ceding early downs; I’d take a young receiver like Trey Harris or Tory Horton, a late second, or even a 2027 second.

Scott, a wideout to cash out?

Courtland Sutton just hit 30 and Denver can easily add a speedy receiver who siphons targets; he’s been a profitable hold, but this feels like the last chance for a strong exit.

Pat, thoughts on moving Wan’Dale Robinson?

Two straight ninety-plus catch seasons came from a bare Giants depth chart; as a free agent, his target share likely falls wherever he signs. If managers are buying the box scores, I’ll take Zach Charbonnet off the ACL, Dalton Kincaid, or even J.J. McCarthy in superflex.

Landing spots like Tennessee or the Jets could pinch his slot volume fast, so I’m cautious too.

Scott, you even floated selling Jalen Hurts in superflex; why?

He’s slipped from elite to mid-QB1 and could lose AJ Brown, which caps the passing ceiling even with Devonta Smith and Saquon in place; the tush-push magic can stall. If you’re rebuilding, flip him now for a haul that includes 2027 firsts and ride that loaded class.

Baker Mayfield’s hype swung too far after a hot start; from midseason on he averaged roughly one hundred ninety six yards with six point two yards per attempt, and he may not have Mike Evans next year. If I’ve got depth, I’ll move him in superflex for a young upside piece like Harold Fannin, ideally with a small pick kicker.
