What’s up, guys—brand new Funky and the Champ. I’m Daniel Cormier, and we’re asking straight up: power move or not from Dana, and was Jon calling him out a power move or not on his side?

I’ve learned not to take everything Dana says as gospel, and Jon’s just as unpredictable, fighting in fits and starts. This feels like money more than mystery—he wanted more, they said no.

Jon posted that he was in real talks for the White House card, dropped his ask, felt lowballed, and even brought up his hip but said he could fight; then he asked for a release if the UFC thinks he’s done. I don’t get why this stung him so badly when they’ve clashed plenty before.

Same—he’s fought only about eight times in a decade, so it’s not like he’s super active. Maybe that card mattered to him as a capstone, which makes the public back-and-forth feel personal.

Release chance is zero; you can’t hand away leverage and risk him meeting Francis elsewhere. I heard talk of thirty million, Conor money talk, all that—what do you make of it?

I don’t buy those figures; if the UFC overpays, it’s for the next wave that helps the future deal, not veterans who won’t be around by then.

I kind of feel for him, but at thirty-eight or thirty-nine with injuries, the leverage shifts and the UFC stops bending.

On the BMF thing, if we’re keeping that belt, set rules that fit the spirit—limit takedowns and cap top control unless you’re advancing or finishing. You shouldn’t win a BMF belt by holding and stalling.

That fight felt off; first takedown landed and it was rinse-and-repeat even though he was doing fine on the feet. A BMF bout should reward risk, not cruise control.

Give at most two minutes on top unless you’re attacking and make damage the currency. Real top games create space, hit hard, and chase the finish.

You break guys when they feel that weight, hear that long exhale, and know they’ve got to get up just to be dragged down again.

Jorge came to my house—we prayed, buried the hatchet, and it was cool. I even told him I poked the bear back then because I had no dance partner; now we’re good, and a comeback sounds possible.

Dana announced the White House card on CBS; odds say there are some big favorites, but I like the lineup and expect a tight six-fight sprint.

Topuria vs Gaethje and Pereira vs Gane both hit; I’d have loved Jones for star power, but this works. A year off probably won’t kill Topuria’s edge, and Pereira might feel the size.

People heard “greatest ever” and set the bar too high; it still looks like a strong night.
