They’ve got elite pick‑and‑roll partners in Mobley and Allen, tons of shooting, and a deep group of small‑guard stoppers for an East that’s loaded with quick guards; it’s the most complete mix in the conference.

More likely than not, given the group‑chat connections and how directly the account talks like him, even if it’s hard to believe he’d be that reckless.

It tracks with KD’s online history, and seeing him up close this weekend, the guy’s a massive presence in every sense.

One more East angle—Boston at long odds has been a pro darling; are they sneaky live?

I love Missoula’s drive‑and‑kick system and the organizational continuity, but they’re overachieving a bit relative to pure talent and have front‑court and perimeter‑D gaps versus top rivals.

They’re in the mix, yet it still demands a huge Tatum run and clean matchups to clear the East.

Zooming out—did Will Hardy miss the Boston timing, or is Utah secretly on schedule?

Utah invested in the future and it’s paying off with Keyonte George’s leap alongside Lauri, Kessler, and more incoming help, while Hardy’s off‑ball actions shine like Missoula’s spacing innovations in Boston.

Value shot out West—make the case for Minnesota.

They’re a flip‑the‑switch team that can overwhelm you with size, rim protection, and waves of on‑ball strength, while still spacing with improved shooting.

Ant’s finishing has jumped, Jaden’s shooting leveled up, Rudy looks peak, and their athletic defense plus real rim protection is a tough OKC counter; when they lock in, they’re nasty.

Last one—your old Lakers lane: how should that franchise steer the next few years?

They lack athleticism and shooting beyond their three stars, who haven’t aligned health‑wise, and LeBron could bolt soon, which leaves holes at forward and center.

Too many misses on picks and mid‑level deals mean they need to nail the next draft, MLE, trades, and vet minimums almost perfectly, and I’m not optimistic given the recent track record.

Wildly, that Anthony Davis–Luka swing didn’t rocket either team the way it was supposed to, and the Lakers still have to figure out how to build around their guy.

Or maybe it did—Luka in LA and Cooper Flagg on deck is one heck of a bounce.

Awards check to land the plane: Cooper Flagg should edge out Con Knueppel for Rookie, MVP likely goes to Shai, and value on the board sits with long‑shot teams like Minnesota or a sleeper from the East.

I like Cade at long odds for MVP if Detroit finishes a few games clear of OKC and he bumps both volume and efficiency, especially with Shai’s abdominal issue lurking.
