We’re heading into the best football stretch of the year, and it starts now. How are you feeling with your big college night coming up?

It’s the greatest 24 hours of football in my life. I’m flying to Atlanta for Oregon versus America’s sweethearts, the Indiana Hoosiers, and I’m going with my lifelong sports buddy, so I’m buzzing; will the wise guys ride with us Friday night?

Pros opened heavy on Oregon but some were playing possum for a three, and we’ve seen back‑and‑forth around four. I lean Indiana unless it hits four and a half, and the chatter is Signetti’s a college lifer, which looks like a huge win for Indiana.

I never thought Signetti was leaving once he re‑upped, and keeping his coordinators together says everything about his program. I’m all in on this team and this school.

What’s the confidence level, like eighty percent you win this thing?

I reset after seeing how relentless Signetti is, and now I trust the standard he’s set. Oregon has dudes, but Indiana’s edge is the way they play every snap at full tilt.

It’s wild they’re doing this without five‑stars, and I love it; quick rant, I can’t stand the Lane Kiffin act and I’m weirdly rooting for outcomes that humble that vibe.

Name brands matter less now if you’ve got the right coach and money. Let’s pivot to the NFL wildcard, where unders have cashed hard historically, and we’ve got a tweaked show schedule with a Saturday preview and a Sunday night recap.

Sharp Calls, rapid‑fire: Jags‑Bills is split and likely sticks near a pick; Chargers‑Patriots is surprisingly split too; pros are lining up on the Eagles and Steelers; and while trends point to the Panthers, I’m warming to your Rams stance.

Rams at Panthers, laying around ten and a half with a total in the mid‑forties; you sounded cold earlier, so what changed?

I’d still bet it even with an ugly merger trend against road favorites, because the number says books respect a key Rams playmaker returning and their ceiling. Weather leans under, but I’ll swallow the chalk because the matchup gap is real.

Counter‑trends support the Rams too, and we could load this contest with totals if we prefer them. I’m not wavering here.

Weather doesn’t scare me since the Rams can run. It’s not a top‑five bet for me, but Carolina needed a lot to break right just to be here while the Rams are flat‑out better.

Packers at Bears settled near one to one and a half with the total nudged down, and trends back Green Bay. As much as it pains me, the wise guy vibe feels predictable.

First playoff start is rough on a young QB, the public’s on Chicago, and sharp money grabbed Green Bay small. LaFleur’s experience matters, injuries and a short week hurt the Bears, and I like the under and Packers up to about two.

Bills at Jags has flirted around a point with the total near fifty‑two, and our hearts yell Bills while our heads tug Jags. Matt Mitchell is ultra‑confident on Buffalo, ice cream budgets and all, but pros are only slightly leaning Jacksonville.

It’s truly split, but the Bills defense is dinged and leaky versus the run while the Jags are balanced on both sides and have the kicking edge. I’ll take Jags plus one and a half or tease it, and I like the over if weather cooperates.

We’re threading needles because dogs crush in this round, and we already liked some favorites. Another angle says fade long win streaks, which would ding Jacksonville, so totals may be cleaner.

Eagles minus four and a half and the under versus the Niners are my looks with Trent Williams iffy and Philly ready to mash on the ground. Hurts is a force at home, and pros have nudged this toward five.

Sometimes you’ve got to step around a trend to catch the number. We’re choosing our spots.

Trends do print money, but yeah, we’re on a few favorites this week while still respecting the dog data.

Chargers at Patriots shows New England taking most tickets at three and a half while books won’t jump to four, so we’re making the Chargers our brass‑balls side and eyeing the under.

I don’t love Herbert’s playoff history, but I prefer the known to a rookie in his first postseason start, and Herbert as a dog has delivered. The Pats are tough and well‑coached, but I expect the Chargers to lean into the pass and their defense to cap deep shots, so it’s Bolts and under for me.

Monday brings Steelers‑Texans, Steelers catching three and a half with a low total, and that Ravens finish was pure chaos. Tomlin’s mojo at home is real, so we’re backing it again.

I loved three and a half and still like three, with elements favoring Pittsburgh and Houston far better indoors. The under fits, and Renegade plus that defense can bait and beat you deep once or twice.

Biggest sides are Steelers, Eagles minus four and a half, and Chargers plus three and a half. Biggest unders are Eagles, Patriots, and Bears games, with a smaller Jags over, and I expect at least two totals in our final five.
