Episode summary

Friends, welcome to The Extra Point on FantasyPros. It’s semifinal week, likely our last regular‑season live Q&A before the holidays, so bring the non‑Thursday decisions and we’ll get you set.

Semifinals are here, vibes are high, and shout‑out to DeBro for topping the rankings last week. Let’s point lineups in the right direction.

Dart versus Shuck at quarterback? Go Dart for the rushing floor and similar ceiling; he’s slotted a few spots ahead by consensus.

Agreed—Dart in the mid‑teens, Shuck late teens. Take the legs.

RJ Harvey practiced fully and works in all phases, so even in a tough matchup he carries the best blend of floor and touchdown paths among those backs.

DJ Moore feels swingy; I could stomach Rico in a pinch, but I’d still ride Harvey.

Tee Higgins or Justin Jefferson? I love the matchup for Tee but he has to clear concussion protocol; Jefferson’s talent is undeniable, yet the current connection worries me.

If Higgins is active, I’d start him. Burrow in a warm‑weather smash spot gives Tee a higher ceiling than Jefferson has shown this year.

Between the fringe QBs I’d lean Brissett, and if Marvin Harrison Jr. suits up, I’m still playing him. Teams with nothing to chase won’t activate stars just to limit them.

If they’re active, assume full usage. Injury risk exists for everyone once the game starts.

RBs in half PPR between Henderson, Harvey, Tracy, Aaron Jones, and Rico? I’d go Harvey and Aaron Jones.

Tight end streamers there: Schultz over Waller. Waller’s deployed like a wideout, so the Bengals’ in‑line TE matchup isn’t as sticky, while Schultz gives a steadier floor with pop.

Chasing upside at QB? I’d still go Dak over McCarthy, even if projections have you trailing.

Estimate versus Mason: I lean Mason for role and matchup certainty; I’m uneasy about Estimate’s workload.

Estimate’s ceiling is real against that defense if the touches land, but he’s more of a flex swing than a locked RB2.

Standard scoring pick two among Hampton, Javonte, and Michael Wilson: safer to take the two backs for touchdown odds. If Marvin returns, Wilson’s end‑zone chances dip.

With Marvin active, Wilson historically disappears. The RB path is cleaner there.

If Drake London plays, I’d start him over Shakir. Between Waller and Pitts, slight lean Pitts in that lineup, but it’s thin.

Pitts with London active slides toward fringe TE1. If London sits, Pitts becomes a smash.

WR cluster call: lock in London and Mike Evans. Only consider Michael Wilson if Marvin sits; otherwise pivot to McConkey or Ted if healthy.

We’ve seen it clearly—Wilson’s targets vanish when Marvin plays. Keep him benched if Marv is in.

Defense streamers? Roll with Kansas City over Philadelphia and New Orleans.

Holiday break: I’m buying the Grinch, holding Rudolph, and selling Frosty.

I’m buying the Grinch, holding Frosty, and selling Rudolph—pure chaos energy.

Hampton versus Harvey could swing on a key defender’s status. If that front stiffens, lean Harvey; by Dell’s role also caps Hampton’s touches regardless.

I still slightly prefer Harvey for touchdown paths, even though Hampton’s matchup looks cleaner on paper.

Six‑point pass TD: Burrow over Purdy. Full PPR pick two between DJ Moore, Reed, and Egbuka—give me Egbuka and DJM for ceiling; Reed’s usage has been capped.

On Jefferson, I’m venting at the recent floor and joking about ladder props. If he explodes, the narrative flips fast.

He’s a buy‑low tied to a young QB learning on the job. A rebound should land versus the Giants or Lions, and year‑two chemistry brings the elite back.

If you need pure ceiling in a tough call, fire up George Pickens.

Stuck at tight end? I’d plug in Bowers; with Geno back indoors, the volume should flow.

I’m with that—Bowers’ talent plus situation beats Pitts when London is healthy.

That’s the show, and likely our final regular‑season Extra Point with Christmas next week. Catch our Twitch and YouTube streams, hop in the Discord for AMAs, and good luck in your semis and finals—and in defending Rudolph or Frosty. For Erickson, I’m Welsh. We’re out. Peace.
