Episode summary

Hey, it’s Mel, your friend. You hit play because you’re ready to light your spark, and I brought seven wake-you-up reminders—with a little salty language—to jump-start you.

I also made a free, twenty page Best Year workbook to help you get clear and make a simple plan; grab it from my site and go through it with me step by step.

You can have a generous heart and still tell people to fuck off when you must. That’s called boundaries, and they start with you, so pause, say no without guilt, and stop letting other people’s emergencies run your day.

You are not lazy. Your energy is finite and right now you’re using it to get through, so when stress puts your brain in survival mode, give what you have, call that one hundred percent, and let yourself rest without the shame spiral.

Everyone is carrying something heavy, so lead with kindness. That softness actually makes boundaries easier, because you can let people feel their feelings while you still choose what is right for you.

You may not be where you want yet, but you are miles beyond who you were two years ago. Do a quick two-year audit like I did with my studio and new company, notice the growth, and shift from perfection chasing to steady progress.

One of the healthiest habits is to take nothing personally. Let them think, feel, and do what they will, because most behavior is about their stress and projections, not your worth.

Becoming your truest self requires a lot of goodbyes. Release worn-out habits, roles, and time drains to make space for what fits now, and remember you can spend less time instead of cutting people off.

There is a clock you cannot see, so love who loves you and enjoy your life today. Stop banking on later, choose meaning now, make the call, say I love you, and take the next small step forward.

These reminders aren’t cute slogans. They’re jumper cables for your power—firm boundaries, self-compassion, kindness, progress, nonreactivity, brave goodbyes, and living like time matters.

I love you, I believe in you, and I’ll be right here whenever you hit play again.
