Private Notes

Terms of Use

Last updated: October 24, 2026

These terms apply to Private Notes (on the App Store: Private AI Note Taker), provided by RLabs d.o.o., Ljubljana, Slovenia. By using the app you agree to them and to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.

The app

Private Notes records audio and turns it into transcripts and notes on your iPhone. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use it on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and Apple's rules. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the app, except where the law allows it.

Your recordings

Your recordings and notes belong to you and stay on your device. You are responsible for them, and for having the consent required by law before recording other people. Recording laws differ between countries and states.

Because we never receive your content, we can't recover it. Keep a backup of anything important.

AI results

Transcripts, summaries and tasks are generated automatically by AI models on your device and may be incomplete or wrong. Check them before relying on them, especially for medical, legal, financial or other important decisions. They are not professional advice.

The Private AI uses open models (OpenAI Whisper and Google Gemma), which are subject to their own licenses. Apple Intelligence is provided by Apple and is available only on supported devices and languages.

Plans and payments

Age

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, to use the app.

Availability and changes

We may update, change or stop parts of the app. AI models, languages and features depend on your device and iOS version. We may update these terms; we'll change the date above, and significant changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms.

Liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Slovenia. Disputes are decided by the competent courts in Ljubljana, unless the consumer law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
