We jump on each other’s shows about once a year, so let’s start with Aaron Rodgers. He’s always felt more Marino than Brady to me, less into motion and marathon film, more into walking to the line, seeing it clean, and striking off a free play, which matches his personality.

At his peak he was the best pure thrower I’ve ever watched, but your quarterback should calm drama, not add to it. Last year he just was not good enough, and if that does not change, the team sits around average.

Early Brady gave the press nothing and just kept winning, and now as a broadcaster he is surprisingly open and great. Steph is the gold standard teammate in hoops, and Brady was that for Belichick, which made the split wild because Tom handled it with total class and then won in Tampa.

Belichick once said he had to be the counterweight to nonstop adoration because they almost never lost. That balancing act is how you stretch a dynasty before egos and side stories snap it.

Exactly, the dynasty had ended before that ring, and I was just happy Steph got one more on his own.

Look at OKC, Sam Presti’s got picks, swaps, and depth for days; if they hit a wall against a bigger, more violent team, do you cash in and chase a force like Giannis.

I had that thought after that wild game, but let’s be sane. They lost one in overtime, Presti usually drafts and develops, and Giannis’ health and mega extension cool the market.

I was in full brainstorm mode like, flip the picks, add size, even rethink Chet, grab Mara, go get a star, because one big will not solve this alone.

It is a guard-heavy draft and teenagers are not fixing what grown men struggle with at the rim. Spurs are ahead of schedule, and Thunder in seven still made sense going in.

That second half was unreal, and Dylan Harper looks like a different player overnight, two-way, poised, and fearless.

Wembanyama changes shots, passes over the defense, and carries a mean streak that matters; the ejection was reckless, but the edge is real. With that size, vision, and mentality, I do not see a ceiling.

What I love is he wants the smoke and the trophies, which is the opposite of the old stereotype about Euro stars avoiding the spotlight.

Dirk was unfairly labeled soft until 2011, and this new wave comes in assertive from day one. With Wemby the only real concern is durability, not mindset.

Switching to the draft, if you are the Bulls at four and mid-first, who do you like.

I need more work, but I would take Peterson first overall despite the medical risk, Boozer’s analytics case is strong, and I have come around on Caleb Wilson’s power and bounce. For Chicago at four, Wilson’s upside and fit next to Giddey make a lot of sense.
