Sharp or Square - FINAL Divisional Round NFL Bets: Rams-Panthers, Packers-Bears, Niners-Eagles, Chargers-Patriots

Welcome back to Sharper Square, the place that sharpens the squares and makes the wise guys listen. I’m flying to Miami with my childhood buddies Andy and Matt, Indiana alums like me, to hit Bears on Sunday and the Hoosiers on Monday, and I honestly feel lucky and ready to roll.

It’s the sweet spot of the season if you love good football, and somehow both of your teams are still alive, so the Midwest is buzzing and next week could be wild.

Let’s trim it to five picks. First up, Seattle versus San Francisco under forty five and a half keeps dropping, but even with that trend that the third meeting can pop over, I still like the under; talk me into feeling great about it.

I’m with you on the under despite that historical nudge toward the over, because injuries plus run-heavy, ball-control plans on both sides point to fewer points, and the Donald news only pushed the total down further. If Donald is limited or they pivot to Lock, this could sink more, so I’d grab forty five and a half whenever you see it.

Patriots are laying three and a half to Houston, Nico Collins is likely out, and that Texans defense is nasty; you still leaning New England?

Yes, I am; trends back New England in this range, Houston’s long streak in this spot usually regresses, and the total is sliding toward forty as weather and matchup lean lower scoring. New England can push the ball deep where Houston is most vulnerable, Gonzalez returning helps, and while I’ve played more moneyline, I’m fine with minus three and a half in the contest along with the under.

On the side in Seattle–San Francisco, Kittle and Trent being out complicates the Niners, but Donald’s status moves things the other way; are we taking San Francisco plus seven and a half?

I am, even with the injury list, because divisional dogs that missed last year’s playoffs have covered well and the third meeting tends to run tight. I’ll stay light on the moneyline given how hard it is to stack road upsets, but seven or more is worth taking.

Rams at Chicago brings ice and snow, and we’ve got our rock-in-a-hard-place pick locked: first-half under, and even at twenty three and a half we’re still playing it.

I like the Rams overall but prefer them early, so I’m heavier on first half with the weather suppressing pace and explosives.

For the fifth, do we back the Rams or mess with Bills–Broncos totals?

I’ll side with the Rams over Denver because the Josh Allen swing scares me off a heavy Broncos stance, and I won’t hate myself for picking Stafford over a dice roll.
