Episode summary
Hello friends, four million feels wild, so let’s do a fast Q&A before I run for a flight, starting with the haircut drama and my eternal curse of curly‑hair options, plus the annual struggle of pronouncing your ridiculous usernames.
Do hard‑charging guys feel isolated and misunderstood? Often, yes; when you live at an uncommon pace, few can relate, and if your drive masks a need to be needed, you can end up performing a persona while the real you goes quiet.
Best tour questions: the most meaningful compliment was that I helped someone feel less alone, and the inner‑child moment on stage reminded me how far I’ve come with vulnerability; I’m insanely proud of how deep and original your questions are.
Fiction pick is Red Rising, and if you want book lists or an annual review template, I’ve got you covered.
New studio is a construction zone now, but I’m aiming to roll cameras in February and finally have a real home base instead of living out of bedrooms.
Am I in my prime? Honestly, this year felt like a karmic nut‑kick, but I’m grateful for the moment and hungry to hit my ceiling next year.
On the unreleased Andrew Tate episode: it was mostly COVID talk during the era when YouTube would nuke a channel, so I shelved it, and later it felt unfair to publish old pandemic takes against today’s information; it’s likely staying in the vault.
What’s on the iPad? Just Apple Notes—prompts, quotes, and anchors—so I can keep my head clear and pull what I need fast without surfing the web mid‑conversation.
For creators helping men, less grindset sermons and more honest inquiry into why you want what you want; integrating emotion and recovery has been my shift after a tough year and some deep work, because lows force reflection that fuels the next leap.
Programming notes: expect more in‑person group hangs with the boys and more solo riffs, so we keep the steak while adding some ice cream.
Live shows are coming, including a Newcastle homecoming and a full UK and Ireland run, maybe a bit of Europe too.
Apparel was inspired by the metal tees I loved as a kid; I obsessed over every fabric and fit, and we’ll do limited drops again soon.
The red bracelet is from a Joe Hudson retreat and reminds me to treat sensitivity as strength and stay open when it’d be easier to armor up.
Another thousand episodes? Yes; this show is my evolving autobiography, and when dad life starts, you’ll hear that arc too—new formats will keep my curiosity blazing.
How small is too small a daily effort? Nothing is too small; some days you sprint, other days you crawl, but even half a step beats entropy.
When sadness hits, my default is isolate and ruminate, but the better move is to lean on friends, ask for help, walk, and read; that skill saved me this year.
Health update: likely long COVID layered on mold exposure flipped into nervous‑system wonkiness; it humbled me and made me kinder, and I’ll grind through it.
My recurring thought is a harsh inner coach saying I should be better; it’s a performance‑keeps‑you‑safe script I’m unlearning, and I’m ready to attack 2026.
On identity and ego with visibility and money: being British keeps me grounded, and an audience that lets me be myself makes this far easier; more solos will open that up.
To the 18‑year‑old who feels lost: good, that’s the point—be present, let college carry you forward, and enjoy the season you’ll miss later.
COMT met/met means I clear dopamine and adrenaline slowly, so I thrive with stability and depth but pay a tax under chaos; design for calm and treat yourself like a finely tuned machine.
I’d still go to university; it socialized me, sparked businesses, and taught me how to be an adult.
If I could change Middlesbrough, I’d start with culture—more role models, less cynicism—and better links to nearby cities wouldn’t hurt.
Do I envy others? Sure; when I’m grounded it fuels me, when I’m not it stings, so I keep coming back to meditation and perspective.
My biggest win this year was not quitting; I held the pieces together when they slipped and kept moving across health, work, and life.
High standards around people who don’t share them: set boundaries, ask for support directly, invite them along, and accept that you can’t force change.
Avoidance or wise rest? It’s like knowing if the next rep injures you; in your early twenties use rules and structure until experience builds your intuition.
Seeing the beauty in struggle now: your future self will wish you’d worried less, so limit distractions, share moments, laugh at the absurd, and journal when things are good too.
If you fall in love fast, build guardrails early—shorter dates, tempered contact, a clear list of negotiables—and scrutinize before the chemistry takes the wheel.
Thank you for an unreal year; Happy New Year, new studio and drops and tours are coming, I’ll keep showing up and asking better questions, and I’m deeply grateful you changed my life with a device in your pocket—I love you, bye.
